What do you do now?The Vast Majority of Failed Democratic Party Presidential Candidates of the 21st century agree dramatic climatic change is upon us and human industrial activity, primarily in the United States, is the blame. This development revealed as John Kerry hypes his new book, on the heals of of Al Gore’s blockbuster docudrama success. Apparently when you win a Superbowl or Stanley Cup you go to Disneyland, and when you lose the presidential election you right write a book or screenplay about global warming. I wish Kerry as much success with his book as AG has had with his movie.
I propose Kerry and Gore get together and create a new organization to promote the new era of tragic environmentalism. They can call themselves The Coalition of Failed Democratic Party Presidential Candidates of the New Millennium Against Carbon (CFDPPCNMAC). Or, maybe not.

Solidarity Threatened: New York Times Breaks RankThe GWS debate, such as it is allowed, is warming up. The New York Times discovered recently that "the Vast Majority of Scientists" or as we call them the VMS coalition, is not quite as Vast as previously reported. The NYT is considered by most part of the main stream media. That they have broken ranks with the Vast, and discovered some non-oil company funded scientific minds who question the lack of connection between oil consumption and climatology, may be significant. It follows a trend of growing numbers questioning the GWS proclamations, and questioning is good.
Still, it is accurate to say that the Vast Majority of Failed Democratic Party Presidential Candidates of the 21st century believe in the evils of industrialization and fossil fuels. We have yet to see a 2008 presidential candidate of either party break ranks with them and show independent thought on the GWS.

Hybrids are the Answer: What was the Question? The U.S.A. is the major offender in GSG production. Everyone knows this as certainly as they know that the cars we drive are the big problem (see "Life and Granola" and "Fun with Numbers"). Hybrids are the vehicle of choice for the well healed environmentalist. Well, at least in the U.S.A. where most Hybrids have been sold. Elsewhere in the world Hybrid sales are almost nil. Aren’t these same environmental experts preaching that we should be more like "the rest of the world" in every way? Except Hybrid purchasing and Nuclear Power, I guess. 2/25/2007 BAR |
Big Oil: Beneficiary of Environmentalists?
Big Oil Companies are the ultimate evil, and the companies that produce coal are nearly as bad. When we site a scientific paper or other source which dares question the basis for global warming or any other politically correct environmental policy we’re told that "those" researchers have been corrupt by "big oil" or other forms of The Evil of Big Business. It is easily explained that they’re just trying to keep the world dependent on oil, gas and coal. Hmm. Back when we actually had debate on nuclear power (when I was young, which my 13 year old Son thinks was before light was invented), many of those who are now the GWS faithful were (and remain) anti-nuke. And begat a generation (or two) so absolutely anti-nuke that it hasn’t been talked about in polite company for three decades. Yet who really gained from the killing off of nuclear power as an alternative for power generation? Would it be those oil, gas and coal producers who we now depend upon exclusively for power generation?
